I am fairly new to Y360 and I want to add pics to what I write, not just the first part of when you start. I read about pasting and urls but I am sooooo clueless! Can anyone share your tips on how to get pics and neat flashing pics on too? I would so much appreciate it!
Has to be easy to understand okay? If the advice is good then I will save and use it as a reference.......thanks!!

This is the easy way--check my blog if you think you need to do all the complicated stuff above--if you did mine would not look the way it does.
most pictures, graphics, etc. you find on the web are "hotlinked"--this means you just have to copy them with a right click and then paste them into your blog with a right click when writing it--do not have it in html mode when doing this.
Other pictures:
(1) open an account at Flickr--it is free
(2) upload the pics to Flickr
(3) when writing your blog open Flickr in a different window
(4) go to "Your pictures" and click on the pic you want to insert
(5) a new window will open
(6) right click on the pic in the new window and copy
(7) then just paste it into your blog as you write it--do not have the blog editor in html mode.
I should add that to add some fun stuff you do have to put your blog editor in html mode. I suggest writing everything first and then checking the html mode.
For example, Youtube videos. You go the video you want to insert. Then copy the "embedded code". While your blog is in html mode insert and copy the code in the place you want it. It will not show up in the editor when you click go back to regular mode. But once you save the blog it will show up as a video to play.

For the photos, upload them to Flickr then get the html code for the pics and add paste that into your blog.
Same thing for the flashy graphics too except you don't have to upload them to Flickr. They should already have the html code under them to copy.
Before you paste them into your blog, check the view html box first.

Anywhere you want a picture in the BODY of your blog, use this code:
<img src="URL of Image" alt="Caption for image" height="" width=""></img>
If your image did not appear, troubleshoot it below
--If the image is on your computer, you must first upload it to a website, a universal host. I use Photobucket.com, but there is also Flickr.com and I have heard that there is a Snapfish.com too I think. They are all free .
The reason for this is that if you link a picture from your computer, for example C:\mypic.jpg,
Anyone else who goes to the page; their computer will look for C:\mypic.jpg
and because their computer does not have said file, it will not show up. If you upload it to a universal host, it will read "http://mypic.jpg" and since both computers have access to it, they can both view it now.
--if your image ends in html, it's wrong. You're linking the PAGE it's on, not the image. Right click the picture, and click properties. then copy the url and use that.
--if you have not defined height and width, take it out. otherwise they will have neither. And if it's 0 high and 0 wide, you wont see it.
DONT FORGET TO PUT THE HEIGHT AND WIDTH IN BETWEEN THOSE QUOTATION MARKS UP THERE !!! AND YOU WILL HAVE TO SWITCH THEM AROUND OR YOUR PICTURE WILL COME OUT SHORT AND SQUATTY! SO WHEN YOU RIGHT CLICK ON THE PICTURE YOU'RE WANTING AND THEN CHOOSE "PROPERTIES"...DOWN WHERE IT SAYS THE HEIGHT AND WIDTH...SWITCH THEM AROUND BEFORE PUTTING THEM IN THE CODE. FOR EXAMPLE: IF IT SAYS IN THE PROPERTIES OF YOUR PICTURE THAT IT IS 162 x 227...............BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE CODE ABOVE...CHANGE IT TO 227 x 162 AND YOUR PICTURE WILL COME OUT RIGHT!
As for the "flashy" or "glitter" pictures...just go to http://www.glitter-graphics.com/ and choose a picture that you want..click on it to take you to a page with that picture only on it...you can either save it to your computer and upload it to Photobucket as in the directions above OR you can just copy the code that is given to you under the picture that you have chosen.
Once you are in your blog entry page...make sure that you FIRST type something into your entry box....maybe a sentence describing the picture that you are posting....THEN checkmark the "view html source" box at the upper right hand corner of your entry box......then, if you are adding a picture that you have uploaded to Photobucket....paste in the code that I gave you in the first part of this Answer.....and follow the directions given along with it. If you are posting a picture that you got from Glitter Graphics.com (and you didn't upload it to Photobucket but are using the code given to your on that site) just copy and paste THAT code into your blog entry box. To see how things are looking (before posting) click your PREVIEW BUTTON....then on EDIT when you want to go back to add more or change something.

(pardon my english) in actuality google "track participant for weblog" i've got have been given faith there are diverse web content who can provide what you come to a determination on. yet, in actuality very own opinion, i think of of track on blogs is kinda annoying, now not each physique needs to hearken to it and sometime they are surfing at the same time as listening to their very own. so planned to place the form that doesn't play immediately at the same time as human beings open your weblog. happy working a weblog!
