When I first joined it said I had to get 144 points to get to level 2 then I got over that and it said I had to haave 96 points to be on level 2?? I dont understand, also why is there a limit on the amount of questions you can ask?

It probably meant 144 to go and u already had 106, then 96 to go and u had 154, but u need a total of 250. They limit questions because they don't think people should be abusing the use of Yahoo! Answers by staying on 24/7.

The reason why they put a limit on the amount of questions you can ask is that it is a way to try to ensure quality questions, as you move up in levels and you are participating more and taking the site seriously you will be allowed to participate more and more.
Don't worry it won't be long before you are up to level 2 :)

Stop asking so many questions and start answering a few. Every q you ask COSTS you 5 pts unless you choose a best answer, which still only give you three of them back. I forget if you need 250 or 300 pts to get to level 2.
Just forget about points. They don't really mean much anyway.

You need 250 points.
It shows what you have (144) and what you need (96)
And a Lv 1, you need to show dedication to get the limits raised

You asked 7 questions ...that takes away 35 points...any qustions resolved gives you 3 points...you can lose points if question was deleted and you can lose points if your answer was deleted...
The best thing to do is just answer questions until you reach level 2, then answer questions as you ask them to keep your points up...
