We are looking to have a website built for our company....?

We would like an interactive (with flash / buttons that move when you mouse over them etc...) website, probably a total of about 15 pages with a cool flash intro. Does anybody have a rough estimate of what this would run us? (we need to get approval from corporate, so I just need a ballpark figure to throw into our proposal, I don't have time to get an actual estimate right now) Any Web Designers Out There?

I'd recommend posting something on the 37signals gig board -- http://gigs.37signals.com .

And just a general bit of advice -- don't use Flash if you don't have to. For buttons, you can use basic XHTML and spiffy with Flash-like effects using CSS and Javascript. Check out http://script.aculo.us to see how far effects can go without Flash.

Anyway, the Gig Board is good -- that website attracts good, standards-compliant web designers.

You are really going to need to formulate a better idea of what your company is looking for before a Web Designer would be able to scratch the surface with an estimate. Anticipate 4 figures possibly 5. Custom programming is not cheap and when you start adding all the options, you naturally add to the estimate.

I am a web designer. It is very hard to tell you an exact price without more details.

$7500-$10k to have a good design firm do it... probably $3-5k to have some guy in russia / india / south america do it.

check out rentacoder.com if you are looking on the cheap side.
