Does anybody know why were having such strange weather lately?

The weather has been very cold lately, 32degrees this morning. Kinda odd for Los Angeles, California. I understand that there is a cold front, however, I have never experienced it being this cold for over a three week period. Addtionally, were breaking some historical weather records for the Los Angeles area. Is this just a fluke, or are we experiencing "Global Warming"?

That would be up to your interpretation. I live in Southern California too, and you're right, it hasn't been this cold. But the earth is a constantly changing planet, as some would argue, so weather changes do happen over a period of a thousand years.

I think it's global warming. I believe that the weather patterns will continue to be more and more ferocious. More hurricanes, more cold, more extreme summer weather. I think we are heading for a situation like that movie The Day After Tomorrow. I truly believe that it will take some sort of cataclysmic event for the world to actually take action against global warming. It is a big problem. I remember when I was a kid, we used to lay out by the pool all day and get a little pink. Now, you lay out for an hour and your toast! Things have definitely changed.

I think it's global warming that's casuing it. I live in Chile, and winters here are cold, but last year the winter seemed somewhat polar! And then, summers here a pretty warm too, but this year has been like whoa!almost unbearable almost 40 degrees (celcius)...so yup, I think it's global warming, and I'm kinda worried, if we keep up like this in a few (or maybe not so few) years we won't be able to go outdoors cause of the intensity of the sun, or just because if we go out we'll freeze!

Yes on Global warming and it's alarming. Al Gore's movie, "An Inconvenient Truth" should be seen by everybody - especially school children because they are the most likely victims if a way to reverse global warming is not found...soonest.

No, but, El Nino may have had a hand in it (really). Go to http://www.elnino.noaa.gov/ to learn more.

Please, don't use "global warming" as a scapegoat for just any old difference or anomaly that occurs in the atmosphere. It's (global warming) not real in the sense that you are using it...regardless of what you have heard.
