I need Lyrics to a song about an abusive relationship?
I'm doing a project for "Breathing Underwater" by Alex Flinn. And one of the projects is to have 2 songs and a poem or 2 poems and a song. I was wondering if anyone knew of any besides "Face Down" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. I already have that one. But please I need help... I've been on for a while and cant find any... any help will do.

"Luka" by Suzanne Vega
My name is Luka I live on the second floor I live upstairs from you Yes, I think you've seen me before. If you hear something late at night, some kind of trouble some kind of fight Just don't ask me what it was, Just don't ask me what it was, Just don't ask me what it was. I think it's `cos I'm clumsy I try not to talk too loud, Maybe it's because I'm crazy I try not to act too proud, They only hit until you cry, and after that you don't ask why You just don't argue anymore, You just don't argue anymore, You just don't argue anymore. Yes, I think I'm okay Walked into the door again, If you ask, that's what I'll say and it's not your business anyway I guess I'd like to be alone with nothing broken, nothing thrown Just don't ask me how I am, Just don't ask me how I am, Just don't ask me how I am. My name is Luka I live on the second floor I live upstairs from you Yes, I think you've seen me before. If you hear something late at night Some kind of trouble some kind of fight Just don't ask me what it was, Just don't ask me what it was, Just don't ask me what it was They only hit until you cry, and after that you don't ask why You just don't argue anymore, You just don't argue anymore, You just don't argue any more.
"Never Again" by Nickelback
He's drunk again, it's time to fight She must have done something wrong tonight The living room becomes a boxing ring It's time to run when you see him clenching his hands She's just a woman... never again
I hear her scream from down the hall Amazing she can even talk at all She cries to me... "go back to bed" I'm terrified that she'll wind up dead in his hands She's just a woman... never again
Been there before but not like this Seen it before but not like this Never before have I ever seen it this bad She's just a woman... never again
Just tell the nurse you slipped and fell It starts to sting as it starts to swell She looks at you... she wants the truth It's right out there in the waiting room with those hands Lookin' just as sweet as he can... never again
Seen it before but not like this Been there before but not like this Never before have I ever seen it this bad She's just a woman... never again
Father's a name you haven't earned yet You're just a child with a temper Haven't you heard "don't hit a lady" Kickin' your *** would be a pleasure
He's drunk again, it's time to fight Same old ****, just on a different night She grabs the gun, she's had enough Tonight she'll find out how ******' tough is this man Pulls the trigger fast as she can... never again
Seen it before but not like this Been there before but not like this Never before have I ever seen it this bad She's just a woman... never again
It's so sad to feel the hurt again .does it ever go away will the memories fade away. They hit the yell they hurt you more than any one could, your gave them yourself and this is what you get is it for a life time or just a small part of your life taken away, why. Do they not care, can they not see how much you cared. They took it all away and gave you back a broken heart, broken arm, and now that there gone all I have is a hurtful lonely heart.
Mary Anne and Wanda were the best of friends All through thier high school days Both members of the 4H club Both active in the FFA After graduation Mary Anne went out lookin'
for a bright new world Wanda looked all around this town And all she found was Earl Well it wasn't two weeks After she got married that
Wanda started gettin' abused She put on dark glasses and long sleeved blouses And make up to cover a bruise Well she finally got the nerve to file for divorce She let the law take it from there
But Earl walked right through that restraining order And put her in intensive care Right away Mary Anne flew in from Atlanta On a red eye midnight flight
She held Wanda's hand as they Worked out a plan And it didn't take 'em long to decide That Earl had to die Goodbye Earl
Those black-eyed peas They tasted all right to me Earl You're feelin' weak Why don't you lay down And sleep Earl
Ain't it dark
Wrapped up in that tarp Earl The cops came by to bring Earl in They searched the house
High and low Then they tipped thier hats And said "thank you ladies if you hear from him let us know" Well the weeks went by and
Spring turned to Summer And Summer faded into Fall And it turns out he was a missing person Who nobody missed at all So the girls bought some land
And a roadside stand Out on Highway 109 They sell Tennessee ham And strawberry jam
And they don't Lose any sleep at night 'cause Earl had to die Goodbye Earl
We need a break Let's go out to the lake Earl We'll pack a lunch And stuff you in the trunk Earl
Well is that all right Good Let's go for a ride Earl Hey
