My computer seems dead. I have a message reading Load DLL kernels Windows cannot load. I have tried system restore, a destructive restore, booting from backup, nothing works. Does anyone have a clue? I run XP on a Compaq
THANKS!!!

Boot from your restore CD and do a system repair first. If that doesn't bring your computer back, you probably will be forced to a complete reinstall of Windows.

Sounds like your HD may be damage or corrupt. If you can boot to a DOS prompt try running a simple chkdsk /r. This may not fix all yoru problems, but may lead you in the right driection as far as what to do next. If its damage you will need to replace the Hard Drive

Also here's an article on the differnt options with chkdsk I would read this first.

So you can't get it to boot at all? You may need to reinstall windows then.

Insert your CD and try to boot from the CD and see if it lets you repair.

That's not good, sounds like you need to reinstall Windows. Maybe you can do a repair installation?

when I have been given the blue demonstrate screen, i had to take it to the workstation guy. I had to delete each and everything on my cpu because of the fact a number of the stuff grow to be contaminated. It probally be a sturdy thought to no longer plug issues into your workstation. you're able to desire to get the virus acceptable taken out of your device. Take your demanding force into the workstation techician guy, that way you are able to start up up utilising your cpu returned with out it restarting and exhibiting the blue demonstrate screen.
