How can I rid a mattress of cat urine smell?

Had the mattress (only a few months old) professionally cleaned already. The only problem is that doing so only worked about 65% on the smell. I'm told the mattress has been sanitized now though and it's good for use again. But how can I ultimately rid the mattress of its prevailing smell? Products, tips, or anything else please!

Diet and stress (e.g. move, new pet, etc...) affects the odor concentration of their urine (a tip if your cat has a tendency to urinate away from the box). Also, if the cat does it frequently with no sudden changes, you might want your vet to give them a check up- some cats urinate for health reasons.
Anyway, I have cats and had one that peed on my mattress when I moved houses. You will want to go to your local pet store and ask for their enzymatic urine stain and odor removers. Make sure you get one specific for cats as there are ones for just dogs as well- and cat urine is particularly strong. I have tried Simple Solutions, Nature's Miracle, and Petzyme to name a few.
IMPORTANT: Do not mix it with water, use it full strength. If it is in a spray bottle, take nozzle off and saturate stain. Spraying the surface will not get deep down.
The best I have found is by Jody International/Four Paws and is called "Pee-Pee Stain & Odor Remover Bio-Enzyme Carpet Spotter & Eliminator" (can probably google just the "pee-pee stain and odor remover"). I used that one on the pee stain my cat put on my mattress (after the nature's miracle did not work), you pour it on, allow it to dry naturally (so you will probably want to sleep on the couch for a day or 2 after) and then used my Bissel carpet cleaner with a hand attachment for good measure after it had dried (to thoroughly remove the urine but since you have had your mattress cleaned, you shouldn't have to worry about that issue).
I would like to say, though urine was a challenge, all the above have worked wonderfully for hairballs ;)
Good luck! Cat urine is a beast of it's own ;p

When we first got our dog a friend of mine recommended a wonderful product called Nature's Miracle for pet stains and odor. I've used it on the couch, the floor, rugs and even our matress when the puppy had an accident on it. Its a natural product, and there's basically no smell to it. The key is to get it deep enough to reach the entire stain. I just about dumped a whole bottle of it on the spot, and put a towel over it until it dried. The best part about this stuff, is that it gets rid of the smell well enough that even the animals can't smell it anymore, and will not think to use this spot as a bathroom spot any more.

go to the pet section of wal mart some stores have it in a spray bottle for under $5 some may have the half gal size of OUT its a pet odor and stain remover , saturate the area and then place a thick paper towel (those blue Shop towels are good) apply pressure and leave, it will draw up the excess Out and urine still in the mattress, you will see the urine on a lighter paper towel thats how you know its working
you make have to do this more than one time

then a mist spray for the final time
