Where are all my groups in my email address book?

I write an email to several people, and Yahoo Mail prompts me to make a group. Good idea, so I do. Now I want to send to that same group, but where is it?

OK, Jade, I tried it like that. (In fact, that's an exact description of what I have tried repeatedly.) Am I using too old a version? Should I be clicking on that funny little purple guy who shows up beside the sign in? The list on the left side of the address lists says "categories," and the recently created "groups" don't show there or anywhere. They also don't come up when I start typing, the way an individual's address does. So now what?

No, Kay, that didn't work, either. The toolbar brings up Yahoo Groups, but not the "groups" created within the mail program. I'm beginning to think it is hopeless.

Good try, Boots, but that didn't do it either. I'm going to call it a bug in the program and forget about it.

OK, I finally created a category for the address book. That worked. Why that other thing didn't I'll never know. I guess I'll throw this open to a vote on which of three answers that didn't work is the best.

1. If you don't remember what you named it, go to "Addresses". If you do, type in the first letter & it will work as a single (short cut) address usually does
2. The group names are in the left column
3. choose one & it brings up those you've put in that group
4. use "Check All"
5. choose "Send Mail", and it brings up the list
6. leave as is or uncheck anyone, and choose "Compose Message" section
7. voila!

Ok, here's what I try when something with Yahoo isn't working and I can't figure out why nor does it really seem to make sense. Go to your toolbar and clear the browser history, clear all the cookies and caches... this tends to be the answer when the drop down/pop up menus don't work, but I've also done it for other mysterious malfunctions... Just realize that in doing this, any password info you have chosen to 'remember' on websites will be lost...
Having tried all these things, I guess I would wade through Yahoo help menus...but that's not a lot of fun and not always very helpful. No, I don't think upgrading is going to make a difference; it shouldn't. Good Luck!

there should be a button on your tool bar that is called groups. if it's not there then add it from your yahoo toolbar there will be a > click there and add buttons to your toolbar.
