I do not want others to copy my files from my CD without my notice... methods please?

At times I need to use my power point presentation at different laptops, but others are copying my presentations with out my acceptance.

Is there any method where I can see that no body can copy files from my CD.

Any lock system or password system or anything ...

Thanks for your guidance in advance

PUT your Files in a New Folder and go to the Toolbar at the top of the page and Click File. When the Drop Down appears, Click Send To Zip File. OPEN the Zip File and Click FILE AGAIN and you can put a PASSWORD on the Folder. practice with a document in My Documents. It can be anything. For instance, type a short paragraph in Word pad save it to your documents and do what I have said and you will see how easy it is. Good Luck if you need any more help please let me know. My email address is with my Avatar if you click it. You can ALSO Password the CD by the same way. Just do what I have said AFTER you put your Files on it, and do the same thing. That way if someone gets the CD they cannot open the Files or Folders that is on it.

You could use encrypted ZIP (or disk image) files.

You could just pay attention to where the CD is and make sure no one else has it.

You could use a USB thumb-drive (aka flash drive) as they're much smaller than CDs, and much more useful. Some even include encryption software on them. You can get one for like $20 at any computer retailer.

Hope this helps

there is no other way. as long as people have access to it, even if the files are read only, they will of course read off the cd with no protection at all.

but i think there is a way. not available for consumers.

if you use a flash drive, dont let others plug it in. and dont leave it alone with others. bring your own laptop.

Just say NO

Don't leave your CD in the laptops? Keep it with you at all times in a cd case?

I am not sure but...i think there's a way to make your file "read-only"...not sure though
