Start small. A drawer, one section of your closet, emptying out and cleaning the refrigerator, whatever works for you. Then you can look at what you accomplished, which will give you a sense of pride, and you can go on to tackle the next item. I used to be a complete packrat and now I'm relatively tidy. It really helped me to start with an area that was visible to others, something like your kitchen table or the spot where you throw down your mail, keys, coat, etc. Things are a lot easier to keep tidy once they are cleaned up, so good luck!!

Well, that is a really good question. I myself have a little too much stuff and I have started to try parting with some of my stuff. It's SO Hard!
Have you ever seen the tv show "Clean Sweep"? They come in to a home with rooms jam packed full of stuff. They completely empty the rooms into the yard. Then they sort all items in to piles... Keep, Sell or Toss. (Meanwhile the rest of the "Clean Sweep" team is doing a make-over on the room.)
But, the idea of the Keep, Sell, Toss is really good! Maybe that would help you. Things you're emotionally attached to, keep. Things you haven't looked at or touched in awhile either toss or sell. Have a yard sale and then treat yourself to dinner for a job well done... or if you have a lot of stuff to sell and do a good job treat yourself to a mini vacation or make-over your room!!
Good Luck!!

Read the book "Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui" by Karen Kingston. You can buy the book on Amazon.com -- both new & used books are available. You might be able to find this book in the library as well. It's easy to read and will motivate you to clear your clutter!!!
Good Luck!!!

Sort out all the things that clutter each room. Take 3 boxes and sort of what to give away to charity....Throw aways in the garbage.. and one to give to your friends....
