There is a group called TeVaka. The members are from all over the Pacific islands. Their music is wonderful and very "islandy" without being hokey. I have TeVaka's album Tutuki and I love it. My kids love it too.

My brother in law is a music producer. Go to his website at www.rolltopmusic.com   I suggest the Beach and Guitar CD. He recorded several of the tracks in Hawaii and mixed them in San Diego. His name is Tim Coffman and he ships quickly to any address you specify. Check it out. Also, Beach Boulevard is a good CD too.  The website lets you listen to snippits of the songs.
