3-D accelerator is a VERY generic term for a video processor. If your computer was made since the early 90's then it has a 3D video processor. The type of video card or onboard graphics processor you have is the information you want. This is usually the very first thing that shows up during system boot.
What type of OS or you running? Windows 2000 or XP? or whatever. This will let us help you find out without you having to physically opening up the PC to find out.
