USB Drivers? Where can I update mine?

I have an older Toshiba notebook. Each time I plug in a USB device, I am told that I am using USB 1.1, and that my device(s) would run faster using USB 2.0. I have been to the Toshiba website, and have not been able to find a driver update. Any ideas?

it is a chipset issue on the motherboard there is nothing that you can do to update it.
