Who sings this song... "Hey DJ won't you play that song..."?

It's an old school jam. I think Nina Skyy remade it. "Hey DJ won't you play that song, keep me dancin' (dancin) all night long... Who sings that song?

Many songs have similar lyrics but the answer currently voted best by Zhane is definitely wrong, those lyrics are "Hey DJ keep playing that song all night on and on"... nothing about "keep me dancin". I'm pretty sure you're thinking of Hey DJ by World Famous Supreme Team from 84 which goes "Hey DJ just play that song keep me dancin' (dancin') all night long". There was a remake in 94 by a Lighter Shade of Brown which I remember was played on MTV a lot, and then Mariah Carey heavily sampled it in 97 with "Honey."

Nope. It's not Zhane. They were just referring back to the original, which was the World Famous Supreme Team's 1983 hit "Hey DJ."

I was just actually doing a search to try to find this question. I tried to check out Nina Sky's albums on Amazon and didn't see the song listed on any of them. If anyone can answer this, I'd love to hear it!

There's a couple of songs that use that particular line. The one I know of off-hand is by A Lighter Shade of Brown - "Hey DJ." However, ALSOB sampled that part of the song in the early nineties from an older song. Unfortunately, I do not know who the original artist is.

Hope this helps!
