It is safe to use norton to scan ad-ware. However, norton mostly detects viruses and trojans and is not recommnded for adware or malware. You should use a program that is entirely for ad-ware.

Ad-Aware is a program that seeks out malicious ad-ware/spyware etc. that is often acquired when surfing the internet, it is a legitimate program and I have used it quite often. www.lavasoftusa.com is the site that has more details on Ad-Aware. You said that when you right click on it that it gives you the option to scan with Norton, if you right click on anything on your desktop you probably get the option to scan. I dont personally have not used the two programs together but cannot imagine that they would have any conflicts.

I imagine you meant "Ad-Aware Se Personal". Yes it is safe. Norton is an antivirus, Ad-Aware is an antispyware program. You can use them both on one machine. What you never want to do is to use two antiviruses (like Norton and McAfee) this can cause problems on your computer.

Depends. Norton i have little experience with, but they should be able to run along-side each other. If not, make sure you install any needed dependencies, or go for a more All in One Approach.

You should not have any conflicts with the lavasoft Ad-Aware and your Norton anti-virus. Just run one scan at a time not both at once.
