I am Filipino. To begin with,

Through out history Filipinos has produce its own set of great champions and was the first to be recognize in terms of Excitement when Pancho Villa the first Filipino(asian) Boxing Champion Dominate The Flyweight Division in the Early Twenties. But in terms of Numbers Mexican Greats Outnumbered the Filipinos.

We can bragg about Elorde, Pacquiao, Garcia and Villa.
But Mexicans has Chavez, Barrera, The Marquez Brothers, Sancez, MOrales and so on and so forth.

Amazingly Pacquiao was considered by some boxing Scribes as the Best P4P Boxer today yet We dont have a Legitimate Belt Holders while Mexicans have more than 20.

Over all its Mexicans in terms of Quantity and Quality.

Proudly Pinoy!!!

Mabuhay Pilipinas!!!

i dont think u can actually say which fighters are better based on their ehtnicity because last time i checked there were more big time mexican fighters than big time filipino fighters in the game. the only reason it seems like pinoy boxers keep beating the mexican fighters is because pacman seems to fight them all. have u seen manny's brother fight? manny musta got all the boxing talent in the family!

anyways, the only thing i see that they have in common is that these boxers have come from humble beginnings and have used boxing to better their life and excite many of their countrymen in the process.

id much rather watch these talented lighter weight fighters fight than those big oafs in the heavyweight division.

traditionally there have been extra super Mexican warring parties than Filipino warring parties. Cuerrently i could nonetheless say Mexican warring parties are a nostril forward of their Filipino opposite numbers.

you would have to compile a lot of information to come up with a decent answer, thru history there are many more mexican fighters as pros...therefore the percentages of winners vs real numbers of fighters, the number of head to head matchups, then matchup numbers against common opponents..., then account for title defenses, etc...I dont think there are many successful professional filipino boxers above the welterweight division...either now or thru history...for raw numbers I believe mexicans hold or have held more titles than filipinos but for percentage of champions vs number of active fighters might bear out much closer because of so much mexican participation at that level...(make sense?)
