I measured these objects myself:
A full-sized, wooden papermate pencil weighs 0.2 oz = 0.0125 lbs = 0.00567 kilograms
Webster's Collegiate Dictionary: 3lbs 15.6 oz = 3.975 lbs = 1.803 kilograms
One fresh Florida orange: 0.6 oz = 0.0375lbs = 0.0170 kilograms
So, in conclusion:
pencil: 0.00567 kg
dictionary: 1.803 kg
orange: 0.0170 kg
And rounded off to significant figures (if you're a science person):
pencil: 0.006 kg
dictionary: 1.80 kg
orange: 0.02 kg
