What are the colored dots at the bottom of my Cheetos bag?

I don't know if these are on other brands or not, but I just noticed that they are on the bottom of other Frito Lay products too. Are they a way to confirm or set the colors on the bag? Not a big deal...just curious.

The set of colors yes is a setting it also helps to allign the different colors that are put on the packaging. Each color has what looks like a target. that has to be horizontally and vertically aligned before the application of all the art for that color is printed on the package.

"Probably something to do with the dying process and an easier way to categorize what product goes into what bag depending upon the color sequence." I believe is correct...it makes sense, they might just be there to bug people though,

Sounds better, and now that i think about it, newspapers have them too

On packaging each color is applied individually and they all have to line up, so the dots are a quick way for quality testers to make sure they do.

Most packages and color newspapers have them somewhere.
