What is 460x640 resolution translated into megapixels?

I was given the numbers 460x640 as the minimum resolution to ask for photos for a project. However most people know 3 megapixels-4 megapixels etc and aren't familiar with 460x640. I believe it translates to 4 megapixels, but am not sure.

460x640 = 294400 pixels that means under 0.5 Megapixels. That so don't worry 3 or 4 Megapixels digital camera will do the job. :-)

640 x 460 is only 294,400 pixels which is not even 1 megapixel. Its actually about 0.3

1600 x 1200 is just under two megapixels.
