How long is going to take for my hair to grow?

I got a bad haircut 2 weeks ago. I went back the salon twice to complain. The first time I went back, the girl who cut my hair said, "there is nothing wrong with the cut. Then I asked for someone else to look at it- the second girl who looked at it said, "the interior of the cut was realy messed up". She tried to blend things togther but it's still uneven and choppy in spoys. It can't be straightened out until it grows - 2 or 3 inches. I am avoiding everyone because I look bad. I am taking hair vitamins to hopefully make my hair grow 2 inches in 2 months. I am not a person who ever wears barettes or clips so if I start doing that people are really going to notice. I cry every day. I don't even know if 2 months or 2 inches is going to allow for evening the layers.

Since hair grows 1/2 in. a month, it will take about 4 months to grow 2 inches. I know how a bad haircut can really affect your self esteem, but I would guess most people probably don't notice the imperfections like you do. Try wearing it curly or wavy so the choppy layers aren't so obvious. Or, consider this the perfect time to try a new style. Look for pics of styles a little shorter than what you currently have, and have a reputable stylist cut it. Wearing your hair a little shorter may be better than crying and stressing over it every day.

hair grows about .5 inches a month so it should take about 4 months for your hair to grow 2 inches (thats the norm, you might grow faster or slower)

most hair grows about a third to a half in per month
