If I reformat my hard drive and run restore (Win. XP and Office 2003) will it reload clean.dll's?

Recently I got an error code, an .ocx file occupied an illegal.dll range, reserved for WIn Sys user 32 .dll. The error code says that the application won't run properly and to contact the original vendor to get a new .dlls. Is the .dll included on the restore disk or is it a separate built in memory somewhere else?

what ever .ocx file is corrupted try looking for the original file online. There are sites that have windows files floating around. Try replacing the one file that's corrupted before you restore the whole system. If it is indeed a system file problem and replacing it doesn't work then restoring the computer to factory settings should solve the isssue aswell. Good luck!
