Use two soft cloths (an old T shirt). Moisten one with pure water, leave the other dry.

first off don't use any cleaners like Windex, because they could eat through the clear coat on the front of the screen. for me i just get a soft cloth, and dampen it with water, so there isn't a lot of excess, and softly just rub down the monitor screen

You get 75 for under $10. To clean my LCD screens I moisten one and keep one dry. Rub lightly. Same with my glasses and camera lenses. I carry one with me all the time. When they get dirty I through them into the washing machine on hot. Works great.
