Delayed messages.The problem is due to the large files that are being download, if you have dial-up and your computer is not one of the latest system, you will be encountering problem of delayed messages.

You need not change the Messenger.As changing the messenger will not solve the problem.
Are you using window blinds or alien guise or some other window enhancement program? e.g. programs that add extra buttons like transparency and keep always on top or change the look of the windows in anyway (not including standard XP themes)
if so disable it and yahoo should work.
Do a search on <http://www.wackyb.com> for window blinds

This is sometimes a flash issue, make sure you have download and installed flash from Internet explorer (not any other browser)

To delete address bar history as it also helps, follow this path. Tools> internet options> general > clear history > set the number of days to zero> ok.
AlsoYahoo changed the sounds in YM8. You can replace the new sounds with the old ones.

I have been this problem too for months from this poor excuse of a program and I have also wrote to Yahoo a number of times but no reply I guess little people like us don't care lets hope they solve this problem does anyone else have any feedback on this...Show more
