Why does people have bigger reaction when their new Toyota or Honda goes to shop?
I felt like when someone owes a New Toyota and Honda, when it goes to shop, they have a huge reaction and rants over every review website. But when their Brand new Ford or Chevy goes into shop, they seems to be keeping quiet... While a Focus and Cobalt has about the same MSRP as a Corolla and Civic...

I mean, even when the waranty covers it... it just seems to happen. And i really doubt repairing bill for a Focus is big different from a Civic. Well, Germans are different story.

It may be the result of a difference in personalities. Big 3 owners who are more understanding may be more laid back in general and more experienced with car ownership. Toyota or Honda owners who complain may be more anal retentive and demanding. Vice verse.
It's also due to a lack of understanding and overconfidence in the product. Any new car can fail - no one can guarantee a perfect car because human knowledge is limited. But those who expect perfection due to better-than-average track records will feel disappointed when their car ends up having a problem when new. Also, some may believe that certain cars require less maintenance than others - or they don't understand much about maintenance and good driving habits. These are the ones who don't understand their cars when they take them in to the mechanic.
So it basically boils down to personality, expectations, knowledge, and experience. Also, Toyota and Honda owners may be complaining more about the service side of it, as in how the dealer treated them when they took the cars in for service. A bad experience will make an owner irate and make them vent their anger on the internet.
its simple people expect foreign cars to not break down ever. They have a better reputation than ford and GM. So when a Ford or GM car breaks down people accept that because that is just the quality of Those companies. But Toyota and Honda are better built and engineered vehicles that people donut associate with problems. Give it 4 more years no make that 3 and Toyota will be #1 instead of GM. They already passed Chrysler for the 3rd.
It is probably because Fords and Chevys are probably thought to be more durable than Toyotas and Hondas and can sustain the tests to higher efficiency than Toyotas and Hondas. Toyotas and Hondas are probably more luxurious than Fords and Chevys as Fords and Chevys make more trucks and cars that can take a beating than the other two companies do.
I'm not sure what your saying, but it seems to be that foreign cars are expected to be perfect, whereas American cars are expected to need service. All cars need good maintenance. After that, most cars give good service. There definitely is a difference in quality and reliability across all the car manufacturers. However, there's other factors to consider like purchase cost, performance, style, comfort, warranty, service, repair costs, and design conveniences etc. Presently, you really have to evaluate each new car model individually to choose the best overall car for your needs. All the manufacturer's have something to offer different buyers.
because the american buying public believes that foreign cars are better than american cars and they shouldn't break down on them, that used to be true but no longer, american cars are now better than their foreign rivals but the american public still doesn't believe this and continue to support foreign countries even though they build them in the states now the money goes back to the foreign countries and we keep losing jobs in our auto industry and it filters right on down to other jobs in this country. Toyota is #1 for recalls followed closely by honda so this should tell people something about their quality, also when you take a foreign car in to be fixed you are going to pay a lot more for the repairs than you do on american cars.
