There might be an input in the back, check, otherwise it will not work through a headphone jack, technically the headphone jack is an output, so it only feeds sound, it can't receive. Your options are to buy a CD PLAYER -TO- CASSETTE adapter, the cassette with the wire that you can plug into any portable player. OR get a transmitter (a bit pricey) but you don't need a radio on your ipod, just your boombox...Show more

It works you need an input i think usually in the back of the boombox and a cable that has two things that look like they plug into the ipod like 2 headphone jacks...Show more
