What's the difference from "heavy cream" versus whipping cream or half & half ?

They are all pretty much in the same aisle. But you'll have three options. Heavy cream, Medium/low cream or something named similar..and half and half. The first two..are whipping cream and just cream in general used for coffee, soups, whipping cream, thickeners, etc. the latter half & half..is a mixture of half whipping/heavy cream and half milk. Half & half is popular for coffees and some cooking for those who want the thickener that is heavy cream but without as much calories and fat. However you can't whip half and half into whipped cream like heavy cream.

Heavy cream and whipping cream are the same thing - they are just cream. Half and half is half milk and half cream.

The amount of "milkfat" will explain what the difference between heavy cream and whipping cream is. Heavy cream has a higher milkfat percentage.
