It means massive multiplayer online. Such games include the high successful World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, etc. These games allow many people to play the game online and interact with each other and in many cases require a monthly subscription fee to play.

M-massively (hundreds of thousands+)
M-multi-player (more than 1 person playing together)
O-online (live game, on the internet, real-time)
R-role
P-play (roleplay - to become or pretend you are the character)
G-game (...)

EverQuest, Asheron's Call, Lord of the Rings Online, Eve, and of course... the motherload of all MMORPGS: World Of Warcraft (over 8,000,000 online monthly... thats massive)

hope to see you there!
