Yes nine times out of ten if your radio and other things will run but the starter solenoid clicks when you try to start the car the battery is bad. If you have a checker auto parts or Les Schwab close they will usually test the battery for free if the battery is good then i would say a starter is the issue.

hi, confident the radio will come on because of the fact it won't draw very a lot present day from the battery to artwork (approx 1Amp) while the starter motor can take approx 80Amps to function. while the battery starts going vulnerable it quite is helpful sufficient to coach on the radio, the lights fixtures and so forth.. incredibly something that doesn't require a extensive electric powered load. earlier you replace the battery verify that the cells are finished, if not top up the battery and see if which will do any solid. If not seems such as you want a battery. solid luck

Yes, it takes an immense amount of power to turn the starter. Much more than stereos or even air conditioning and lights.

yes it is. the starter needs more power to be able to turn the crank shaft and start the car. find someone to help try jumpstarting with booster cables. once it starts drive to any walmart, orielly or autozone for battery diagnosis. if its bad replace it. your altenater could also be faulty. get your charging system checked
