It's one of those mysteries that goes along with where did the other sock go?

Bugs are tiny and crawl around the edge of the globes or other covers then find the uneven area and get inside. Light covers are not a perfect seal. (The heat needs to go somewhere.)

Sometimes they get up into the attic and come down that way, through the holes that are in the metal or plastic base of the light.

no matter how tight you think your fixture is there are small cracks around the edges or where the screws are when they get in the heat kills them its agrvavating but we all have to deal with them, its not air tight there is no vault so they just squeeze through, i wish i had an answer as to how to keep them out, i'm sick of cleaner the fixtures every time i leave my doors or windows open!!

You know I have often thought about that myself. It doesn't seem to matter how tight the connection is, they get in. Maybe there are eggs in the light before you screw it on, but that doesn't work because I usually wash out the light. I guess they really squeeze small.

I don't know. We just cleaned out a whole passal of them the other night. I have no idea what a passal is.
