Yes they do.
Copperheads are beautiful, I've had the honor of owning one, but she approached breeding size, something I didn't want to do with her (I was breeding other snakes at the time, and a friend wanted to breed her with his male, both stunninggly marked, so I sold her to him).
I adore them, they're beautiful, as deadly as they are. They deserve to be left completely alone to be their wild selves in nature and not be held captive.

yes. You have 2 types of copperheads there. 1 is the regular one. There is also a sub species of copperhead in west texas also. thats the only place its found. its called the trans-pecos copperhead. they are very pretty snakes. The is also a non venomus snake there called a southern watersnake that looks just like a copperhead but it is not harmful. Moth balls do not poison snakes at all unless they eat them. good luck trying to get a snake to eat a moth ball. The scent of the mothballs is what keeps them away.

Yes there are copperheads in texas Im almost positive
Also this copperhead will look different then copperheads in other regions of the US. The NC copperhead is duller then the Texan one
Snakes do not "attack" people like humans think they would. If you find one leave it alone

Hello..no matter what kind of snakes you have..best thing to do is ignore them & DO NOT USE MOTH BALLS or any kind of poisions, they don't repel anything but they will kill anything else that happens along, sometimes dogs or cats will keep snakes away, not cuz they fear them, cuz they annoy the snakes & they hate being annoyed - loud noises, sudden moves..but if they corner the snake, the snake will win..when you go out to do work around the house or yard, just make alot of noise that your coming & before you grab things, give them a gentle but firm toss or kick, they like dark cool, solitary places to hide from high temps under foundations, rocks, logs, piled wood...if they can get under it, that's where they'll be ..Take Care :)
