Wi-Fi and the Pokedex...?

I am having an argument with my friend and I would like some proof. When you see a Pokemon on Wi-Fi (either your opponent's party during a trade or in a battle) or in the Wi-Fi room in the Battle Tower, do the Pokemon you see get added to your Pokedex? I have seen a Jirachi and a Razaqua (sp?) twice and they are not in my Pokedex yet!

I have the National Dex, we both have Pearl, and the Wi-Fi Room is the counter on the right in the Battle tower. It's official name is the "Wi-Fi Battle Rooms."

In trades, you only get them in your dex if you get them in your posession. Have them trade to you, then trade back. Battle Tower battle pokemon never go in your dex, even in the main game, which really sucks. I saw tons of new ones in there.

pokemon in the battle tower dosnt add up to your pokedex. or you do not have yet a national pokedex. but if you want to have one on your pokedex ask a person who has a (pokemon you want) hten you still dont have it, let him trade it to you and trade back. one more thing... there is no wi fi room ok. its the battle tower or a wireless adapter. maybe your friend and you dosent have the same pokemon versions at all. he may be using the emerald version and your using leafgreen or other ok. those dont match. Ruby Sapphire Emerald. LeafGreenFireRed. Gold Silver Crystal.

THSE ARE THE THREE VERSION MATCHUPS.

It's "Rayquaza". No, they don't count. Otherwise my National Dex would be complete.
