My father, even though he wasn't a war vet (I think I made up for it); my ex-girlfriend, Brandi; my war buddies who died in Operation Desert Shield, may they s**t on the Bush and Cheney families from Heaven; and Dick Brown, all around great guy and perpetual scapegoat who still got the job done. RIP, y'all...

If you read Doonesbury today my nieces step-son's name is in the third panel top line last name . if you go to the Vietnam memorial my oldest son's fathers name is there. My youngest son was in the first Desert freedom . another niece is married to a sailor. [ Go Navy ] One of my uncles was at Guadalcanal and another at Pearl Harbor. God Bless them ALL . what i always do HANG THE FLAG rolled neatly
on its Pole from the north facing south toward the ocean
and wait for the breeze to come upon my porch
and whether it be west or east...THE FREEDOM OF THE AIR WILL OPEN IT AND IN WHAT EVER DIRECTION IT
WAVES so long as that BLIMP flies over this beach..
and flies its two words [DUST IT..!] add,for PLEDGE
and that I beleive in honor of all those Whom sacrificed
and those whom to continue not only for ONE..
but for the FREEDOM of ALL Nations for WHAT it Stands

My grandfather and my husband's grandfather. Both were in the Navy and fought in WWII. My husband's grandfather was a Pearl Harbor survivor!
We went Friday to put an American flag on each of their graves, and pay respects.

Keith Moon, simply because he was one of the greatest drummers in rock.
