Can I install the Windows Vista in a PC having a 256 MB system memory?

I have the cd of Windows Vista Home Premium Lite but the problem is I didn't meet one of the requirements of installing this OS which is I have only a 256 MB RAM. Can I still install it then I will just add an additional memory when I already buy a memory? What will happen if I still intend to install the Vista Home Premium? Please help......

If the requirements state that you need more than 256mb than i would strongly rec. installing the extra memory first or you could end up with system errors

One of three things will happen: Windows won't let you install it, It will install but won't run, or it will run so slowly it won't even be worth the trouble. 512MB is the bare minimum for Vista, and at least 1GB is strongly recommended.

If it allows you to install it... I wouldn't recommend it! A cheap fix might be using a USB Memory Stick to bolster your memory until you can buy the real stuff thanks to new Windows functionality. Unfortunately, Windows OS's are still memory hogs!

you must have at least 512 MB of RAM to function and 1 GB
RAM for vista ultimate.......... you can still install your vista provided you have the correct parameters.

vista will not run with 256mb or ram, you need at least 1gb for decent performance with vista
