if there is an oral surgeon out there???

i am having my # 32 wisdom tooth removed on friday, i don't want iv sedation, yeah i am cheap I don't want to pay the 425 bucks for the sedation..lol my surgeon says that he may have to cut the tooth in half to remove it , the tooth is fully erupted, but one of the cusps is broken off at the gumline. I think it may be fused to the bone at the roots, what would be your recommendation local or iv sedation, i am not a ninny I had both my kids natural, and i work in the industry so going to the dentist doesn't cause me any anxiety.

If it is fully erupted and u are not scared at all about the sound it makes and u have no problems holding you mouth open wide for about an hour, I say go for it. You could probably do it no problem if it is only 1 of them. Most people get really worried by all the cracking and popping and then the drilling. So, sometimes IV is better for them.

I had a fully impacted wisdom tooth, #32 removed, just using local anaesthesia. So if you are up to it, go for it.
The doctor was afraid to use anything else because of the medication I was taking.
It was like an episode of The Operation, on TLC, back it the 80's

I am having 3 wisdom teeth out in late August-IV sedation. Perhpas with just one being removed you can get by with local.

Fortunately I have both medical and dental insurance.
