But when I click on my avatar at Yahoo home I get nothing in the box to reference to. What's the secret?

Type in the hair color you want . Like Green Hair

Log in to Yahoo and go to http://avatars.yahoo.com . Then click on the Appearance tab near the top of the page. Then click the Hairstyles link just below the Appearance tab. Then you can control your hair color by clicking on the appropriate small colored box just to the right of the picture of the appropriate hairstyle. Don't forget to click Save Changes on the left-hand side of the page when you've got the hairstyle and haircolor you want.

go to your profile homepage and right where it says ppl can contact you or they can not below it click on edit my info them go to edit my yahoo avatar.
