Do you always wear your seatbelt when driving or riding in a car?

My 23 year old friend just died in a car accident. The general consensus from authorities who responded to the scene is that if he would have been wearing his seatbelt, he would have survived.
I am so sad. Please, people, always wear your seatbelt. It saves lives!!

I always do. I spent four years active service in the Navy and they are very strict about people having their seat-belts on when you enter a military base. I have been out since 92 but the habit stuck. I drive my wife crazy with it sometimes because I refuse to squeeze more people in my car than I have seat-belts for whether they are adults or children.

I absolutely do, and I have since I started driving at 16. I took driver's ed and if you've ever seen the "real" crash scene movies they show you in driver's ed, you'll NEVER drive or ride in a car without wearing your seatbelt.

I always wear mine, no matter what... If I am driving around a parking lot, I still put it on, just out of habit... I want my kids to have that good example.

I hated it to begin with. Didn't wear one at all until it became a law and whined & carried on because I HAD to. Now I don't feel secure without it. I'm a believer.
