Chris Farley as Shrek?
Chris Farley was supposed to voice Shrek but he died, so fellow SNL cast member Mike Myers took over. If Chris Farley hadn't died and voiced Shrek, would Shrek be just as popular and successful as it is now.

Hard to imagine Shrek with another voice now, but it still would have done well. Farley was a really funny guy.

It would be 10 times more funny; Chris Farley a master of comedy and would have brought more depth and layers to the character with his voice inflections that even adults would find it much more entertaining than just being a kid's cartoon.
If you watch old SNL episodes, you will find even his co-stars like Adam Sandler and David Spade have a hard time keeping a straight face and him never waiver from character.
Mike Myers does ok, he just plays it much straighter than Chris Farley would ever had. There would be more anger, more pain, more joy and more comedy if Chris had played the role.

yes indeed because, Chris Farley was originally cast as Shrek and even recorded the dialogue. However, after his death, the role was given to fellow Saturday Night Live performer, Mike Myers. A remnant of Farley remains when Shrek uses "finger quotes" - a trademark of Farley's character Bennett Brower. and don't be confused at all! hehehe

Nah. Wouldn't be as funny because Myers got the voice just right. Scary bu interesting at the same time. However I think you could probably have done a much better job with Fiona with a British accent. Oh well.

I have to say yes. Chris was so funny and talented, what a shame he died so young. Shrek looks the way he does because Chris was going to be his voice so they made the model to look like him.
