Makeup Artists - overseas flights - what can you carry on?
Anyone have experience with this, can you just give your makeup bag to the flight attendants and get it back when you land? Do you prearrange anything? I only found information about things need to be in less than 3oz. containers. All help is much appreciated, thanks.

The restrictions are pretty strict. You can't carry any gels or liquids including perfume, mascara, liquid lip gloss etc. on the plane They have to be trial size and max of 3 oz and they have to be put into a quart size ziploc bag and the limit is 1 ziploc bag per person. I'd suggest you to keep it somewhere you can take out of your bag right away when you're at security check point (maybe in a big purse). But this restriction is only for your carry-on bag that you take with you on the plane. You can put whatever you want into your luggage. What I have done was wrapped all the brakeable items with bubble wraps. It helped me a lot and nothing was broken even they threw the luggages around. Good Luck!
All of mine is in a carry on size suitcase, I tell the attendant that it is fragile and they put a bunch of stickers on it. Of course, it wasn't over seas, but cross country. Check out www.makeupartistchat.com .... there is a lot of info!
