Boot from the CD and then click install on the desktop
Follow CLOSELY with the onscreen instructions......when it comes time to choose the drive and partition, you will have the chance to resize your current partition on the box
alternatively, you can install a secondary drive and once you get to the partitioning section, you will have the chance to choose the drive........
Have fun with the M$ alternative and don't forget to have some WINE (a linux package which allows you to use Windows apps in the linux environment.
