Do I need a special software license for using it in my business? Any licensed version is ok?

I`m specifically interested in the Microsoft Office package. I want to know if I need a specific license for business please.

The only version you are not allowed to use for business is the home and student versions.

The answer on this one can be a bit complicated. Generally speaking, you do NOT need a special license for Microsoft Office for your business. There is a major exception though. The teacher and student edition of MS Office is not licensed for business use.

First two answers are great. Good information. Also, please remember: in most cases, when you buy a software application, you are only authorized to install it in one, single computer. You are not allowed to install it at home, and then, again on your office computer.

You would find that out as soon as you tried to register it.
