As with all Biblical Faiths it is not the doctrine that is either all right or all wrong it is the theology that is used by the individual Christians who must see if your Personal Beleifs match up with that of the bible! Either you can be a follower of Christ ie ... Christian. Or you can be a follower of a doctrine such as catholocism ie... Catholic. These are all just lables if they aren't a personal Relationship to a Loving GOD!!
The sources listed below might help you make a decision!!

In the Latin Rite churches, it is not used that often as in the Byzantine Rites. Icense has been in use for thousands of years, most of it comes from a specific tree in Oman. I don't think that there is evidence that it kills people. I would seriously ask if that would be the only reason, then what are your reasons for becoming Catholic in the first place?

Jesus was not Catholic...but He is the Way, The Truth, and the Life.
Try the Bible and learn the Grace that God has for everyone. Jesus IS the Savior and will return. Get to know Him. You will not need to "be" anything.
Being a Christian means you believe Jesus came to earth as a man, died for our sins, was killed by those who hated Him, He was buried, 3 days later He rose, and now sits at the right hand of God in Heaven. We all have and continue to sin, bu the blood of Jesus has set us free....His Grace is enough! Faith in itself will turn your life around!!! Good luck and God Bless.
