How long should it take a woman to get ready to leave the house?

I want to hear from women and men who have experience with women. My wife seems to be taking longer and longer to get ready to do things, including going to work, going out (for any reason), and even going to bed. In my possibly uninformed opinion, it is pathological. So I am asking to see if ALL women just take a ridiculously long time to get ready to go somewhere, including bed, or if my wife has a problem that needs to be addressed.

No more than 1hour.....any woman that need more than 1hour they are just self-conscious of who they are.

Well it depends. Do you have children that she has to care for? Is she trying to do other things while she is getting ready? You need to give a little more information about your question. I can be ready and out the door in as little as 20 minutes if I have to, but since I have children and other responsibilities, it may take me longer to get ready.

Edit:

after reading some of the other answers I see where most are coming from! Not only do I have to pick up at night after everyone, I also have to make sure the baby is dressed and diaper bag packed..etc.... the answer above mine is really dead on!!!

Oh, Honey, are you gonna catch it from all sides on this one!! You not only are asking for it--you're begging for it. Being a little more seasoned than most of the YA's, I may have a little inside to something you may be over-looking. When you wife is doing all of this getting ready to go to work, out, or to bed...pay close attention to the things she is doing. I guarantee you she is not just doing make-up, hair, clothes, etc. She is picking up a towel you left on the end of the bed, she is putting the milk back in the frig. She is taking stuff from the freezer and putting it in the frig for the next week, and so the list goes. See where I'm going with this? But when she steps out the front door and gives you her arm/hand...don't you think she is the most beautiful woman in the world? (And well worth the wait also!!!)

15 minutes at most, wherever I'm going. Unless it's to bed, when it usually takes me about 20. I'm keeping a diary this year, and it usually takes me about 15 minutes to write it - I make sure I never miss a single day (will NOT be keeping a diary next year!), and then I always like to have a pint of water just before I go to bed so I won't have cystitis the next day.

You have become impatient with her. You think you know how things should be done and she isn't doing them quickly enough to suit your needs. Have you considered that your impatient attitude might be causing her to second guess herself in everything? Instead of trying to get her to hurry up, do some of the things around the house that she normally does. For example, I have to clean the kitchen sink before I leave-no dirty dishes to greet me when I return. The other day, instead of rushing me, my husband started washing the dishes!!! I was so surprised-I had not asked but he had noticed. How long have your been together? She may be unhappy with the same old clothes, hairstyle, etc-maybe she needs a positive change. She may not realize you are timing her-do you follow her around, yelling to hurry? I am usually the one with the stopwatch(timed around our 2year old naptime)Definitely speak with her-you sound like you are getting agitated.
