To get entry to singapore visitors must prove that they have Sufficient funds - How much is Sufficient?
"Sufficient funds to last for the intended period of stay in Singapore" was quoted in the ICA website. Just wondering how much is the guildline for Sufficient funds

Most countries require that inbound travellers have sufficient funds for the duration of their stay. This usually means an onward plane/train/bus ticket (they reckon you won't overstay if you can show onward tickets); a credit card; recent bank statements (highly unlikely that the Immigration guy will check this) and some cash and/or travellers cheques.
Perhaps the ICA indicated this requirement on their website to put off would-be illegals. If you don't intend to overstay and/or work illegally, then I don't expect you to have problems at Immigration.
Just remember: no drugs (weed, coke, heroin), no cigs (they prefer you to buy them at the downtown store where it costs USD7 a pack!), no large quantities of gum (a couple of small packs for personal use is fine).
Have fun in Singapore .. and relax! Singapore is not as uptight as some make it out to be (heck, forgetful me can't remember the number of times I've chewed gum whilst standing in front of the immigration guy!) :D
Singapore is awesome, but is expensive when compared to other eastern ports of call. Basically, they don't want people coming in and becoming wards of the government... They expect you to be able to support yourself during your stay, and have many rules and are quick to fine $ you if you break them, a round trip ticket is usually enough to prove you can enjoy this beautiful city, and then be on your way. I loved Singapore, and will return one day... I'm not much of a city person, but as far as city's go... Singapore rocked.
I've never heard such thing in Singapore. I've been in Singapore many times, minimum 3 times a year, and not even once they ask me how much money I have. Even at immigration no such question asked. I always have good times there and a nice place to have quick break and shopping:))
nobody checks your fund when you enter. They only check whether you have valid travelling document i.e: Passport, and illegal items such as drugs, pirated CDs/DVDs, excessive tax-free items. Unless you are smuggling money into Singapore. Otherwise, you shouldn't have to worry about the Officer checking how much money you have.
