I recently visited this past January -- my favorite coaster was definitely "Expedition Everest" at the Animal Kingdom theme park. Disney has a reputation for being "family friendly" and "kid oriented" but this is a coaster that should satisfy just about any adult, except for ones that absolutely need loops. Great theme in the line queue, fantastic presentation during the ride, and enough speed and steep drops to get your heart racing!

I've also heard good things about the Aerosmith Rock n' Roller Coaster at Disney MGM Studios. Unfortunately, this coaster was closed while I was there but I heard it was very similar to the "California Screamin'" coaster at Disney's California Adventure, except with Aerosmith music and theming. I enjoyed that one too.

There are no good coasters in any Disney parks. The parks are family oriented, which is fine for little kids, but if you're looking for a thrill ride, keep looking. Anytime a park spends as much or more money on the themeing of the ride, it's probably not going to be very exciting. I mean, if they spend a few hundred thousand dollars building a waterfall in the middle of a coaster, they're not going to let you whiz by it so fast you don't notice it.

Space Mountain

To be honest my favorite has nothing to do with speed or scariness. At DW about 10 years ago now, my uncle took his video camera on Space Mountain. He just had it in his hand and didn't want to leave it anywhere. As we were going along (he was sitting behind me in the space ship), I heard him scream out some vulgarities which Yahoo would block so I won't say them. We got to the end of the ride, and the battery pack had fallen off of the camera to the ground far below. DW staff never found it. Lol.
