Landlord issues-Who can I report this too?

My landlord has been trying to fix a broken water pipe for the past 3 DAYS! Instead of paying to get it professionally done, he is doing it himself and has left all his tenants without running water for the past 3 days. We have a small water hose that he left for us to get water from. I've been showering at friends houses and brushing my teeth with bottled water.

Go to your town or city hall and talk with housing or perhaps they will direct you to the proper channels.THEN persuade him knock some money off your rent for the inconvenience****

Call you city or village hall. They will come out and inspect and fine him for every day he leaves you without water. I have done it. You would be surprised over how fast they react. Just all the main number and tell them you have a complaint about your landlord and some safety issues because being without water is certainly not safe. They will connect you with the right person. I got a landlord in big trouble for something similar. Don't backdown.

I would start with your local village hall or office. Then I would tell the township. The quickest thing you can do is call the non emergency police number and ask them to direct you with who to call. They might even go talk to the landlord themselves if they feel moved to help you. (They are not required to.)

Yes, call up city hall and they will guide you to the proper department. Probably the city or county health or sanitation department.
