fuel efficient vehicle would be fine at current gas prices,if it did not mean buying insuring and licencing and maintaining a second car. the associated costs with it out weigh its value until they can make it carry 4x8 sheets, replacement engines, a large tool box, or any thing else in volved in my home business, my job both as a mechanic or the supplies neccessary for the house I am remodeling.

The price of gas is already too high. I use my vehicle as little as possible. I cannot afford a new vehicle at this time. If I had he cash I would purchase a hybrid.

Quit whining!!!!!! Even if gas goes up another dollar, it would only mean about $15 dollars for the average person per week. Think about how many gallons of gas you use each week,...10,15, or maybe even 20. At an increase of $1 per gallon, you would not spend that much extra each week. Don't feed into the hype from the media, it's not that big of a deal. If you can't afford an extra $15 dollars a week, you probably can't afford a car anyway! I spend about $850 a month on gas, life goes on!

Here in Chicago, we've exceeded that point already (it's now down to about $3.21 to $3.30/gallon.
I even work for BP in the fuel supply department and there are several hybrids in the parking lot at my work.
