If the earth is less than 10 000 years old how is it that everyone is descended from two people.?

I have used population models and not come up with nearly enough people over 10 000 years nor have i explained how people got so widely distributed

Just incase you havent noticed i cant understand how people can seriously believe anything other than a much older planet than recognised in the bible and shurly it should change to recognise that this is a fundemental inaccuracy

what part of your population model takes into account natural mortality. Besides you would also have to factor in the proportion of people unable to reproduce or that are left barren after birth

I have heard this 'magic' 10,000 year old figure before, and as far as I can understand it, God created everything and did so in such a way that although the Earth (and everything around it) is only 10,000 years old, He did it in such a way that there was 'evidence' of billions of years of history.

I just don't understand why, people can believe in Creationism, but be hostile to the Universe being 14 billion years old. It's not like God was in a hurry to make everything - and don't give me that 7 days crap, when Genesis was written, readers had no conception of what billions (or millions for that matter) of years meant, everyone knew what a day was, and besides which it tied in nicely to the notion of taking the Sabbath Day off.

If you are looking at the biblical model did you take into consideration that the bible also records that the lifespan was upwards of 800 years early on, 850 of which were probably spent viably?

But that doesn't even matter. I'd check your math again. Populations grow exponentially. 10,000 years, if thats what you believe as the max age or not, is more than long enough to reach the current world population.

If you are going to argue what a book says, then you have to argue all of it. You can't pick and choose.

Why can't you explain the distribution?

Where did you get the idea that earth is less than 10,000 years old?
Try to get the age of the earth correct and maybe your model would work better?

Ok if you havent realized, dinosaurs lived until 65 million years ago, not 10000 years ago. I dont know where you got your 10000 year theory from as to how old the earth is, its 5.7 billion years old. Humans originated about 200000 years ago. Look it up on wikipedia.org.
