What would you do?
Someone lies right to your face. You know it's a lie. You have proof. Do you call them out immediately or hint around a little to see if they'll come clean?

I would call them out and even show proof. That'll stop them from lying in the future, or at least they'll be more careful.

i call them out right there WITH the evidence, but i'm kinda subtle/sarcastic about it (a gentle mix of both)
for example:
them-"the reason you're safe in a car when lightning strikes it is because of the rubber tires"
me-"actually that's not it... it's cuz it's a completely enclosed metal cage..."
them-"no that's not it it's the rubber tires. seriously."
me-"well i mean i only watched it on discovery channel but whatever you're right..."

Most definitely call them out.

I would hint until they realize that I know and feel humiliated.
