Is this a serious problem?

I have a 1994 Mustang GT that idles rough when I am stopped at a traffic light and I lose oil pressure. When I accelarate, it hesitates until I reach 45-50 mph. I have taken to several mechanics and know one seems to find anything wrong. Any suggestions.

you don't give the history, how many miles? between oil changes? grade of oil used? how is the pressure cold? hot?

It could be a problem with sludge buildup on the intake screen, low pressure cold, that calls for thinner oil.

high mileage and low pressure hot calls for heavier oil and even oil adders.no multigrades

First of all stay away from the rice rockets they are useless. As for the oil pressure take of a valve cover and see if you are getting oil to the valves. If you arent you could have a bad pump or the pick up tube in the oil pan could be clogged.

Check the oil pressure with a real gauge. Sometimes the factory gauges get a bad ground and don't read correctly.
Sounds like you have a bad plug, wire, cap/rotor or even possibly an injector as far as the miss goes.

Check your oil pressure with a mechanical gauge first and then go from there and you might check the idle air control valve for the idle prob.
