I press on the menu options and it detects my home network so I know it is receiving a signal. Nevertheless, when I ask it to connect, it gives me an error message. My router has no password so that should not be an issue.

If the guy's above me idea doesn't work, then you may need to get a Nintendo Wi-Fi Connector USB Drive from a videogame store or stores like Walmart or Circut City. The Wii will have a better chance with a wireless connection if all else fails.

You should put a password on your router do that type your isp address into the address bar and you will know what to do next. if you dont anybody could use your wireless connection.
I dont know why your wii isnt connecting to the internet?
